  • Inscription: “木柵舊址 清康熙中葉，泉州移民入墾内湖溪一帶荒埔，因懼馬 來社山胞侵擾，乃在所居打鐵寮四週結木為垣，以資 屏障，而保生命財產，遂名木柵村。雍正元年（公元 一七二三年），隸於淡水廳淡水堡。嘉慶時改轄拳山 堡，陞木柵村為木柵莊。嗣以人口增多，另建内湖莊 以容之。地在青山碧澗之側，風景極為清麗。柵毀於 何年，已難考定，舊址約在今道南橋北畔，亦即木柵 舊街之週圍地方。 臺北市文獻委員會　立 中華民國七十二年四月　　日”
