Aberdare railway station serves the town of Aberdare in Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales. It is the terminus of the Aberdare branch of the Merthyr Line, 22½ miles north-north-west of Cardiff Central. Passenger services are provided by Transport for Wales. Aberdare railway station is situated 760 feet northeast of Merchant St Aberdare Substation.

St Elvan’s Church

St Elvan's Church is a Grade II* listed Anglican church in the centre of the town of Aberdare. It was built in 1851–1852, largely at the instigation of John Griffith, vicar of Aberdare from 1847 until 1859. St Elvan’s Church is situated 800 feet northwest of Merchant St Aberdare Substation.
