The Monastery of San Xoán de Caaveiro is a Galician monastery founded in the tenth century by Saint Rudesind. It is situated in A Capela, in Galicia, within the Fragas do Eume natural park.

The Fragas do Eume is a natural park situated in north-west Spain. Fraga is a Galician word for "natural woodland", and the park is an example of a temperate rainforest in which oak is the climax vegetation.
