Salto de Castro, or Poblado del Salto de Castro, is an abandoned village in the municipality of Fonfría, Zamora, Spain. It is located near the Castro Dam, in the lowest part of the Arribes of Douro.

Pino del Oro, formerly known as Pino, is a Spanish municipality in the province of Zamora, Castile and León. It has a population of 203 and an area of 30 km². A bridge links Pino del Oro and Villadepera. Pino del Oro is situated 4 km east of Las Bolizas.

Paradela is a former parish in the municipality of Miranda do Douro, Portugal. The population in 2011 was 165, in an area of 13.84 km². In 2013, the parish merged with Ifanes to form the new parish Ifanes e Paradela. Paradela is situated 4 km west of Las Bolizas.

Villadepera is situated in a region where the Douro forms narrow canyons for 112 km, and that has now a protected status as the International Douro Natural Park. Villadepera is situated 4½ km southeast of Las Bolizas.
