Cave of the Patriarchs

The Cave of the Patriarchs or Tomb of the Patriarchs, known to Jews by its Biblical name Cave of Machpelah and to Muslims as the Ibrahami Mosque, or Sanctuary of Ibrahim, is a series of caves situated in the heart of the Old City of Hebron in the West Bank, 30 kilometres south of Jerusalem. Cave of the Patriarchs is situated 1 km east of Hebron Observatory.

The old Jewish cemetery in Hebron is located on a hill to the west of the Tomb of Machpela. It has been used as a Jewish cemetery for hundreds of years. Old Jewish Cemetery is situated 260 metres west of Hebron Observatory.
