Cave of the Patriarchs

The Cave of the Patriarchs or Tomb of the Patriarchs, known to Jews by its Biblical name Cave of Machpelah and to Muslims as the Ibrahami Mosque, or Sanctuary of Ibrahim, is a series of caves situated in the heart of the Old City of Hebron in the West Bank, 30 kilometres south of Jerusalem. Cave of the Patriarchs is situated 1 km east of Hebron Observatory.

The old Jewish cemetery in Hebron is located on a hill to the west of the Tomb of Machpela. It has been used as a Jewish cemetery for hundreds of years. Old Jewish Cemetery is situated 260 metres west of Hebron Observatory.

The Old City of Hebron is the historic city centre of Hebron. The Hebron of antiquity is thought by archaeologists to have originally started elsewhere, at Tel Rumeida, which is approximately 200 meters west of today's Old City, and thought to have originally been a Canaanite city. Hebron/Al-Khalil Old Town is situated 680 metres east of Hebron Observatory.

Qilqis is a Palestinian village located four kilometers south of Hebron and adjacent to the Israeli settlement of Beit Haggai. The village is in the Hebron Governorate in the Southern West Bank. Qilqis is situated 3½ km south of Hebron Observatory.
