Wellsford is a town of 2,000 residents in the north of the Auckland Region of New Zealand, 114 kilometres north of Auckland and near the Kaipara Harbour.

Te Hana is a small town on State Highway 1 near the northern boundary of Auckland. Wellsford is 5 km to the south, and Kaiwaka is 15 km northeast. Te Hana Creek runs westward on the northern end of the town to the Kaipara Harbour. Te Hana is situated 4½ km north of Wellsford War Memorial.
