Akureyri Botanical Garden

The Akureyri Botanical Garden is a unique and significant botanical garden located in the southern part of Akureyri, a city in Northern Iceland. Situated on the west side of the inland end of the fjord Eyjafjörður, at an elevation of about 45 metres, the garden is one of the northernmost botanical gardens in the world, just 85 kilometers south of the Arctic Circle. Akureyri Botanical Garden is situated 410 metres north of Búðartröð.

Nonni’s House

Nonni's House is a museum in the Akureyri municipality in Iceland. The small wooden house, built around 1850, is one of the oldest houses in Akureyri. It was the home of the well known children's author and Jesuit priest Jón Sveinsson; also known as "Nonni". Nonni’s House is situated 670 metres southeast of Búðartröð.

Akureyri Junior College

The Akureyri Junior College is an Icelandic gymnasium. It is one of the oldest educational institutions in Iceland. The Menntaskólinn á Akureyri traces its roots to the ancient school in Hólar in Hjaltadalur valley, founded in the beginning of Jón Ögmundsson's episcopacy in 1130. Akureyri Junior College is situated 550 metres north of Búðartröð.
