The Izumo Taishakyo Mission is a Shinto shrine located in downtown Honolulu, Hawaii. It is one of the few active Shinto shrines in the United States. The wooden A-frame structure was inspired by Shimane Prefecture's classical Japanese shrine Izumo-taisha. Izumo Taishakyo Mission of Hawaii is situated 180 metres northeast of Dr Sun Yat-sen.

The ʻIolani Palace was the royal residence of the rulers of the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi beginning with Kamehameha III under the Kamehameha Dynasty and ending with Queen Liliʻuokalani under the Kalākaua Dynasty. Iolani Palace is situated 1 km south of Dr Sun Yat-sen.
