The Locarno International Film Festival is a major international film festival held annually in Locarno, Switzerland. Founded in 1946, the festival screens films in various competitive and non-competitive sections, including feature-length narrative, documentary, short, avant-garde, and retrospective programs. Locarno Film Festival is situated 160 metres east of Arte Ceramica.

Visconti Castle Italian: Castello Visconteo is a castle in Locarno, Switzerland. It is a Swiss heritage site of national significance. In January 2004, the Italian historian Marino Vigano' speculated that it may have been designed by Leonardo da Vinci: after 7 years of studies, the Leonardo's Rivellino was recognized as a Da Vinci project. Visconti Castle is situated 130 metres south of Arte Ceramica.
