Uros Islands

The Uros Islands are floating islands made of reeds, situated along a river-like channel through the marshy fringes of Lake Titicaca, near Puno on the Peruvian Altiplano. They are known equally as a "tourist trap" and a genuine wonder of the world.

Esteves is an island in the Peruvian part of Lake Titicaca near the city of Puno in Puno Province, Puno Department. The Island has only one road, Sesquicentenario, but has a dirt road that encircles the island, as well as two helicopter landings. Esteves is situated 2½ km southwest of Uros TITIKAKA the best lodge.

SS Coya

SS Coya is a 19th-century iron-hulled steamship on Lake Titicaca in Peru. After a long history carrying freight and passengers she is currently a floating restaurant. SS Coya is situated 3½ km west of Uros TITIKAKA the best lodge.

Puno is a port city at an altitude of over 3,800 meters, on the shores of Lake Titicaca on the Altiplano of Peru - though because it's located within an enclosed bay, you won't see the full scale of the lake here unless visiting the outlying islands of Taquile and Amantaní.
