The Villa Hügel is a 19th-century mansion in Bredeney, now part of Essen, Germany. It was built by the industrialist Alfred Krupp in 1870–1873 as his main residence and was the home of the Krupp family until after World War II. Villa Hügel is situated 1 km northwest of Haus am See.

Essen-Hügel station is on the northern shore of the Baldeneysee in the Essen district of Bredeney in the German state of North Rhine Westphalia. In 1890, it was opened directly next to Hügel Park, the estate of the industrialist Friedrich Alfred Krupp and the location of the Villa Hügel, which had been built twenty years earlier. Essen-Hügel station is situated 690 metres northwest of Haus am See.
