The Odesa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre is the oldest theatre in Odesa, Ukraine. The Theatre and the Potemkin Stairs are the most famous edifices in Odesa. Odesa National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet is situated 310 metres south of Potemkin Stairs.

The Odesa Archaeological Museum is one of the oldest archaeological museums in Ukraine. It was founded in 1825; the current museum building was completed in 1883 according to a design by Polish architect Feliks Gąsiorowski. Odesa Archeological Museum is situated 410 metres southeast of Potemkin Stairs.

Moldavanka is a historical part of Odesa in the Odesa Oblast of southern Ukraine, located jointly in Khadzhybeiskyi and Prymorskyi urban districts. Before 1820 it was a settlement just outside Odesa, which later engulfed it. Moldavanka is situated 2½ km southwest of Potemkin Stairs.
