The Cathedral of Our Lady Assumed into Heaven and St Nicholas, commonly known as Galway Cathedral, is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Galway, Ireland. Construction began in 1958 on the site of the old city prison.

The James Mitchell Geology Museum is a geological museum based at the University of Galway in the West of Ireland. It is the only remnant of the university's defunct Natural History Museum.
