Anıtkabir is a mausoleum complex located in the Çankaya district of Ankara, Turkey. It serves as the resting place of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, founder and first President of the Turkish Republic. Anıtkabir is situated 3½ km northeast of Balgat.

Çankaya is a municipality and district of Ankara Province, Turkey. Its area is 483 km2, and its population is 942,553. It is home to many government buildings, including the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, as well as nearly all foreign embassies to Turkey. Çankaya District is situated 3½ km southeast of Balgat.

Kızılay is the city center of Ankara Province in the municipality and district of Çankaya, Turkey. Its population is 1,311. It is named after the Kızılay Derneği whose former headquarters was located at the Kızılay Square. Kızılay is situated 4 km northeast of Balgat.
