Monte Casale is a mountainous elevation on Sicily in Italy, reaching 910m above sea level, which formed part of the oldest volcanic formation of the Hyblaean Mountains.

Casmenae or Kasmenai was an ancient Greek colony of Magna Graecia located on the Hyblaean Mountains, founded in 644 BC by the Syracusans at a strategic position for the control of central Sicily. Casmenae is situated 3 km southeast of Sorgente Favara.
