Victoria Public Hall, or the Town Hall, is a historical building in Chennai, named after Victoria, Empress of India. It is one of the finest examples of British architecture in Chennai and was built to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria. Victoria Public Hall is situated 360 metres west of Chennai Central railway station.

The construction of the fort provided the impetus for further settlements and trading activity, in what was originally an uninhabited land.
