Thiruvallikeni railway station

Thiruvallikeni is a station on the Chennai MRTS. Located just behind the Marina Campus of the University of Madras along the Marina Beach, it exclusively serves the Chennai MRTS. The station serves the neighbourhood of Triplicane.

Marina Beach, or simply the Marina, is a natural urban beach in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, along the Bay of Bengal. The beach runs from near Fort St. George in the north to Foreshore Estate in the south, a distance of 6.0 km, It is a prominent landmark in Chennai.

Parthasarathy Temple

The Parthasarathy Temple is a 6th-century Hindu Vaishnavite temple dedicated to Vishnu in Chennai, India. Located in the neighbourhood of Thiruvallikeni, the temple is glorified in the Naalayira Divya Prabandham, the early medieval Tamil literature canon of the Alvar saints from the 6th to 9th centuries CE and is classified as among the 108 Divya Desams dedicated to Vishnu. Parthasarathy Temple is situated 500 metres southwest of Thiruvallikeni railway station.

Vivekanandar Illam

Vivekanandar Illam, earlier known as Ice House or Castle Kernan, is a historical building in Chennai, India. It was constructed in 1842 by Frederic Tudor. Vivekanandar Illam is situated 710 metres south of Thiruvallikeni railway station.
