Teatro Maipo is a historic theatre in downtown Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was founded in 1908 by entrepreneur Charles Seguin, and was first called the Scala Theater. Teatro Maipo is situated 120 metres south of Lavalle.

The Obelisco de Buenos Aires is a national historic monument and icon of Buenos Aires. Located in the Plaza de la República in the intersection of avenues Corrientes and 9 de Julio, the reinforced concrete structure was erected in 1936 to commemorate the quadricentennial of the first foundation of the city. Obelisk is situated 390 metres southwest of Lavalle.
