Royal Kurgan

The Royal Kurgan or Tsarskyi Kurgan from the 4th century BC, is one of the most impressive tumuli of the eastern Crimea. The burial barrow is located at Kul-Oba in present-day Kerch, which developed out of the ancient Greek town of Pantikapaion founded by Miletus. Royal Kurgan is situated 1¼ km south of Храм св. Иоанна Богослова.
