Newhall station is an intermodal hub in the Newhall neighborhood of Santa Clarita, California. The station is served by Metrolink's Antelope Valley Line operating between Los Angeles Union Station and Lancaster, Amtrak Thruway buses connecting to/from Gold Runner trains in Bakersfield, and serves as a transfer point in the City of Santa Clarita Transit bus system. Newhall station is situated 1¼ miles southwest of Lookout Point.

The Santa Clara River is an 83 mi long river in Ventura and Los Angeles counties in Southern California. It drains parts of four ranges in the Transverse Ranges System north and northwest of Los Angeles, then flows west onto the Oxnard Plain and into the Santa Barbara Channel of the Pacific Ocean. Santa Clara River is situated 2½ miles north of Lookout Point.
