Borough is a London Underground station. It is located in the Borough area of the London Borough of Southwark in central London. The station is on the Bank branch of the Northern line, between London Bridge and Elephant & Castle stations.

The Shard

The Shard, also referred to as the Shard London Bridge and formerly London Bridge Tower, is a 95-storey mixed-use development supertall pyramid-shaped skyscraper, designed by the Italian architect Renzo Piano, in Southwark, London, that forms part of The Shard Quarter development.

Since Roman times, several crossings named London Bridge have spanned the River Thames between the City of London and Southwark in central London. The current crossing, which opened to traffic in 1973, is a box girder bridge built from concrete and steel.
