José Hernández is a station on Line D of the Buenos Aires Underground. The station was opened on 31 May 1997 as the western terminus of the extension of the line from Ministro Carranza. On 21 June 1999 the line was extended further west to Juramento.

The Sarmiento History Museum, located in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Belgrano, is a museum dedicated to Argentine history, and in particular to the Generation of '80 and the life of President Domingo Faustino Sarmiento, a writer and political figure who was President of Argentina between 1868 and 1874. Sarmiento Historical Museum is situated 630 metres north of Santa Roseta.
