Castleshaw Roman fort was a castellum in the Roman province of Britannia. Although there is no evidence to substantiate the claim, it has been suggested that Castleshaw Roman fort is the site of Rigodunum, a Brigantian settlement.

Historically within the West Riding of Yorkshire, it lies amongst the Pennines on the River Tame below the village of Denshaw, four miles east-northeast of Oldham and 1+3⁄4 miles north-northwest of Uppermill. Delph is situated 1½ miles southwest of Castleshaw.
