Gwangheungchang Station is a subway station on the Seoul Subway Line 6 in Mapo District, Seoul. It is located close to the northern end of Seogang Bridge, which links Sinchon and Yeouido. Bamseom, located under the bridge on the Han River, is visible from here. Gwangheungchang station is situated 320 metres southeast of King Gongmin’s Shrine.

Sogang University is a private Jesuit research university in Mapo, Seoul, South Korea. Sogang University was established on April 18, 1960 by the Society of Jesus, with the school being the oldest and only Jesuit institution of higher education in the country. Sogang University is situated 1¼ km east of King Gongmin’s Shrine.
