Kinder Scout is a moorland plateau and National Nature Reserve in the Dark Peak of the Derbyshire Peak District in England. Part of the moor, at 636 metres above sea level, is the highest point in the Peak District, in Derbyshire and the East Midlands. Kinder Scout is situated 1½ miles south of Black Ashop Moor.

Kinder Reservoir is a public water storage reservoir on the western edge of Kinder Scout plateau in Derbyshire. The reservoir lies at the head of the Kinder Valley, 278 metres above sea level and 3 kilometres to the north east of the village of Hayfield. Kinder Reservoir is situated 2½ miles southwest of Black Ashop Moor.
