Nicopolis
Nicopolis or Actia Nicopolis was the capital city of the Roman province of Epirus. Its site, near Preveza, Greece, still contains impressive ruins. The city was founded in 29 BC by Octavian in commemoration of his victory in 31 BC over Antony and Cleopatra at the Battle of Actium nearby. Nicopolis is situated 3 km north of Μπαχλαβάς.

St. George's Castle is an Ottoman fortification located in the city of Preveza, northwestern Greece. It was built in 1807, during the rule of Ali Pasha of Ioannina over the region, and it was constructed on plans drawn by the French engineer Frédéric François Guillaume de Vaudoncourt. Castle of Saint George is situated 3½ km south of Μπαχλαβάς.
