Central Zoo

The Central Zoo is a 6-hectare zoo in Jawalakhel, Nepal. It is home to some 969 animals in 109 species, and is operated by the National Trust for Nature Conservation. Central Zoo is situated 3½ km east of Maka dya.

Jal Binayak is a Hindu Temple of Lord Ganesh located in the Chobhar, central part of Kathmandu District, Nepal. The Jal Binayak temple is the most important Ganesh shrine of the central region Kathmandu. It is one of the four Binayak of Kathmandu Valley. Jal Binayak Temple is situated 2½ km southeast of Maka dya.

Kasthamandap

Kasthamandap is a reconstructed temple and public shelter in Nepal, in Kathmandu Durbar Square. The original three-story wooden structure, with sections dated to the 7th century CE, was destroyed in the April 2015 Nepal earthquake along with many other culturally significant structures in the historic square. Kasthamandap is situated 4 km northeast of Maka dya.
