Located near Federation Square and St Paul's Cathedral, it is the busiest railway station in Victoria, serving the entire electrified metropolitan rail network, 15 tram routes travelling to and from the city, and V/Line services to Gippsland. Flinders Street Station is situated 110 metres west of Stop 13: Flinders Street Station.
