The Museum of Islamic Art is a museum in Cairo, Egypt. The museum has a collection of rare woodwork and plaster artefacts, as well as metal, ceramic, glass, crystal, and textile objects of all periods, from all over the Islamic world.

Al-Azhar Mosque, known in Egypt simply as al-Azhar, is a mosque in the historic Islamic core of the city of Cairo, Egypt. Commissioned as the new capital of the Fatimid Caliphate in 970 CE, it was the first mosque established in a city that eventually earned the nickname "the City of a Thousand Minarets".

Tahrir Square, also known as Martyr Square, is a public town square in downtown Cairo, Egypt. It was established in 1867. The square has been the location and focus for political demonstrations.

Al-Daher is a district in the Western Area of Cairo, Egypt. According to the district map, and the census, it is subdivided into the qisms of al-Wayli and el-Daher, or al-Zahir. Some of their better known quarters are Sakakini and Abbassia.
