Craughwell is a village and townland in County Galway, Ireland. As of the 2022 census, the village had a population of approximately 1,000 people. Craughwell is located on the R446 regional road, approximately 9 kilometres south of Athenry and 12 kilometres west of Loughrea.

Those kings were the Ó Mainnín dynasty, ousted in the 12th century by supporters of the O'Connor kings, who in turn were ousted in the 13th century by the Anglo-Norman de Bermingham overlords.
