The Iglesia de la Vera Cruz or de la Veracruz is a Catholic church located in Barrio Lastarria in the center of Santiago, Chile. Construction on the church began in 1852 with a proposal by Salvador Tavira to preserve the place where Pedro de Valdivia had lived by building a memorial church for the conquistador, under the guidance of architect Claudio Brunet de Baines.

The Centro Cultural Gabriela Mistral is a cultural centre located at 227 Av. Libertador Bernardo O'Higgins, in Santiago de Chile. The complex was originally built to serve as the headquarters for the third UNCTAD conference, which was held in Santiago in 1972, and consisted of a convention centre and an adjoining 22-story building. Centro Cultural Gabriela Mistral is situated 190 metres southeast of Café Escondido.
