Chräzerenpass

Schwägalp Pass is a high mountain pass in the Appenzell Alps between the cantons of St. Gallen and Appenzell Ausserrhoden in Switzerland. The pass is named after the Schwägalp peak on the north face of Säntis. The pass road has a maximum grade of 12 percent.

At 2,501.9 metres above sea level, Säntis is the highest mountain in the Alpstein massif of northeastern Switzerland. It is also the culminating point of the whole Appenzell Alps, between Lake Walen and Lake Constance. Säntis is situated 4 km east of Chräzerenpass.

The Grenzchopf is a mountain of the Appenzell Alps, overlooking the Schwägalp Pass on the border between the Swiss cantons of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and St. Gallen. Grenzchopf is situated 2½ km southeast of Chräzerenpass.
