Bishapur was an ancient city in Iran and one of the capitals of the Sasanian Empire, near the city of Kazerun. This city, listed among Iran’s World Heritage Sites, covers an area of about 200 hectares and contains a rich complex of historical monuments and structures. Bishapur is situated 2½ km southwest of Tang-e Chowgan-e Sofla-ye Dar Shuri.

The Mosaic Ayvan is one of the architectural structures of the ancient city of Bishapur, located in Kazerun County, Iran. The structure was built in the 3rd century CE by order of Shapur I, the second king of the Sasanian Empire.

The Shapur Cave is a major site in the field of Sasanian archaeology and it is one of the eight designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the Sassanid Archaeological Landscape of Fars Region. Shapur Sasani Cave is situated 3 km northeast of Tang-e Chowgan-e Sofla-ye Dar Shuri.
