The Monastery of the Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God or, as it is more commonly called, the Troyan Monastery is the third largest monastery in Bulgaria. Troyan Monastery is situated 3½ km east of Горна Попишка.

Cherni Osam is a village in Troyan Municipality, Lovech Province, northern Bulgaria. On September 8, 2012 the neighboring village of Zheravitsa was incorporated into the settlement. Cherni Osum is situated 3½ km southeast of Горна Попишка.
