is a city in Central , in a valley south of the Balkan Mountains, on the road to the historic Shipka Pass. It's famous as the center of Bulgaria's rose oil industry, and the surrounding area abounds with ancient tombs, one of which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

is a beautiful town of about 20,000 inhabitants in the Balkan Mountains of Bulgaria. It's best known as the birthplace of Bulgarian national hero Vasil Levski who organised an uprising against the Ottoman rule in the late 19th century.
