Built between 1607 and 1612, it is widely regarded as one of the finest and best-preserved examples of Jacobean domestic architecture in England, and the only complete Jacobean mansion surviving in Greater London following the destruction of Holland House during the Second World War. Charlton House is situated 2,400 feet northeast of Hervey Road.
