Bitan, historically called Shi-Bitan, is a tourist spot in Xindian District, New Taipei, Taiwan. "Bitan" literally means "green lake", referring to where the Xindian River widens to form the lake. Bitan is situated 7 km northeast of 觀音洞.

Wulai is a small town in New Taipei, Taiwan, famous for its hot springs and aboriginal culture. The name of the town derives from the Atayal phrase kirofu ulai meaning "hot and poisonous".
