Saint-Germain-de-Confolens is a former commune in the Charente department in western France. On 1 January 2016, it was merged into the commune Confolens.

Confolens is a commune in southwestern France. It is one of the two sub-prefectures of the Charente department. Confolens is the administrative center of a largely rural district, which has seen the development of tourism in recent years. Confolens is situated 4½ km south of Ruines du Château.
