The Kehlsteinhaus is a building situated atop the Kehlstein, a rocky promontory above Obersalzberg near Berchtesgaden, in southeastern Germany. Completed in 1938, it was commissioned by the Nazi Party for official and social functions and was visited by Adolf Hitler on at least fourteen documented occasions. Eagle’s Nest is situated 150 metres south of Kehlsteinparkplatz.

The Kehlstein is a 1,881 m subpeak of the Göll massif, a 2,522-metre-high mountain in the Berchtesgaden Alps. The rocky promontory is located west of the Hoher Göll main summit, high above the Obersalzberg mountain retreat near Berchtesgaden.
