Eagle’s Nest
The Kehlsteinhaus is a building situated atop the Kehlstein, a rocky promontory above Obersalzberg near Berchtesgaden, in southeastern Germany. The Kehlstein is a 1,881 m subpeak of the Göll massif, a 2,522-metre-high mountain in the Berchtesgaden Alps. The rocky promontory is located west of the Hoher Göll main summit, high above the Obersalzberg mountain retreat near Berchtesgaden.

The Hoher Göll is a 2,522 m mountain in the Berchtesgaden Alps. It is the highest peak of the Göll massif, which straddles the border between the German state of Bavaria and the Austrian state of Salzburg. Hoher Göll is situated 2½ km southeast of Eagle’s Nest.
