Aitutaki is an island in the Southern Cook Islands. Aitutaki lagoon and its islands are breathtakingly beautiful. The classic picture postcard of small palm tree fringed tropical island, with shallow, warm turquoise waters, corals, tropical fish and blue skies is taken here.

Akitua is one of 22 islands in the Aitutaki atoll of the Cook Islands. It is on the northeastern perimeter of Aitutaki Lagoon and is 750 metres long and up to 310 metres wide. It is known for its beautiful turquoise, indigo blue, beach. Akitua is situated 3 km east of Piraki Lookout.
