The Prophet's Mosque is the second mosque built by the Islamic prophet Muhammad in Medina, after the Quba Mosque, as well as the second largest mosque and holiest site in Islam, after the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca, in the Saudi region of the Hejaz. Prophet’s Mosque is situated 190 metres west of Unit Educational Affairs Department of the Koran.

Al-Baqi Cemetery, also known as Jannat al-Baqi or Baqi al-Gharqad, is the first and oldest Islamic cemetery in Medina, located southeast of the Prophet's Mosque, in the Hejaz region of present-day Saudi Arabia. Maqbara Al Baqeea is situated 390 metres southeast of Unit Educational Affairs Department of the Koran.
