Dales Countryside Museum

The Dales Countryside Museum is a local museum which also functions as a visitor centre for the Yorkshire Dales National Park in Northern England. Run by the National Park Authority, it tells the story of the people who have lived and worked in the Yorkshire Dales for over a 1,000 years.

Gayle Mill

Gayle Mill, dating from about 1784, is thought to be the oldest structurally unaltered cotton mill in existence. It is located in the Wensleydale hamlet of Gayle, England, 1 mile south of the market town of Hawes.

Virosidum was a Roman fort and settlement situated near to the modern town of Bainbridge, North Yorkshire, England. The site is a Scheduled monument.

Hawes is a village in North Yorkshire, with Gayle its southwest extension; in 2021 their population was 800. It's in Wensleydale, one of the Yorkshire Dales, and is best known for making Wensleydale cheese.

The Yorkshire Dales are a scenic area of limestone hills and valleys in North Yorkshire in the north of England. Much of the area falls within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, which extends into neighbouring Cumbria and Lancashire.

Bainbridge

Bainbridge is a village and civil parish in North Yorkshire, England. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 480. The village is situated in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, near the confluence of the River Bain with the River Ure.
