El Alia Cemetery is a cemetery in the commune of Oued Smar, a suburb of Algiers, Algeria. It was established in 1928, following the donation of a 78 hectares plot of land by its owner Hamza El-Alia before his departure to Mecca. Al Alia Cemetery is situated 640 metres south of Braidia.

The University of Science and Technology – Houari Boumediene is a university located in the town of Bab-Ezzouar 15 kilometres from Algiers, Algeria. The university was designed by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer and was inaugurated in 1974. University of Sciences and Technology Houari Boumediene is situated 1½ km southeast of Braidia.
