The Kona Hawaii Temple is the 70th operating temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The intent to build the temple was announced on May 7, 1998, by the church's First Presidency. Kona Hawaii Temple is situated 2½ miles south of Cornerstone Community.
