The Church of St Cadoc, Penrhos, Monmouthshire is a parish church with its origins in the 15th century. Restored in the 19th century, it remains an active parish church, and has recently undergone major renovation. The church is a Grade II* listed building. The Hendre, in Rockfield, is the only full-scale Victorian country house in the county of Monmouthshire, Wales. The ancestral estate of the Rolls family, it was the childhood home of Charles Rolls, the motoring and aviation pioneer and the co-founder of Rolls-Royce. The Hendre is situated 1½ miles east of Llanvihangel-Ystern-Llewern.

Hen Gwrt, Llantilio Crossenny, Monmouthshire is the site of a thirteenth century manor house and a sixteenth century hunting lodge. Originally constructed for the Bishops of Llandaff, it subsequently came into the possession of the Herberts of Raglan Castle. Hen Gwrt Moated Site is situated 2½ miles west of Llanvihangel-Ystern-Llewern.
