West Lake is the biggest freshwater lake of Hanoi, Vietnam, located northwest of the city center. With a shore length of 17 kilometres and 500 hectares in area, this is the largest lake of the capital and a popular place for recreation with many surrounding gardens, hotels and villas.

The Nhật Tân Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge crossing the Red River in Hanoi, inaugurated on 4 January 2015. It forms part of a new six-lane highway linking Hanoi and Noi Bai International Airport.
