Phylakopi, located at the northern coast of the island of Milos, is one of the most important Bronze Age settlements in the Aegean and especially in the Cyclades. Filakopi is situated 460 metres northeast of Pachaina.

It is the second harbour of Milos island after Adamantas and it has taken its name from the temple of Apollo that existed to the east of the settlement. Pollonia is situated 2½ km northeast of Pachaina.
