Highwic is a 19th-century house in Auckland, New Zealand, which is listed by Heritage New Zealand as a Category I structure. The house was built in 1862 for Alfred Buckland, a wealthy colonial settler and landowner. Highwic is situated 230 metres west of Westfield Newmarket.

It serves the Southern, Onehunga and Western Lines of the Auckland railway network, and is the second-busiest station in Auckland, after Britomart. Newmarket is situated 260 metres northeast of Westfield Newmarket.

Newmarket is a central Auckland suburb. Newmarket was originally an independent borough from 1885 to 1989, when it was abolished. Newmarket was established as a livestock market since the 1850s and grew to become a retail and commercial centre for Auckland, with the main road Broadway being the focal point of this activity.
