National Museum of Egyptian Civilization

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization is a large museum located in Old Cairo, a district of Cairo, Egypt. Partially opened in 2017, the museum was officially inaugurated on 3 April 2021, with the moving of 22 mummies, including 18 kings and four queens, from the Egyptian Museum in central Cairo, in an event termed the Pharaohs' Golden Parade. National Museum of Egyptian Civilization is situated 1½ km west of Pakistan Cemetery.

Mausoleum of Imam al-Shafi’i

The Mausoleum of Imam al-Shafi'i is a mausoleum dedicated to al-Shafi'i, founder of the homonymous school of Sunni Islamic jurisprudence. Located at the Imam Shafi'i Street in the City of the Dead, Cairo, the mausoleum is a hallmark of Ayyubid style architecture and historical significance. Mausoleum of Imam al-Shafi’i is situated 800 metres northwest of Pakistan Cemetery.

Al-Lu’lu’a Mosque

The Lulua Mosque or al-Lu'lu'a Mosque is a mosque in the Muqattam Hills that surround Cairo, Egypt. Built during the reign of the third Fatimid caliph, al-Hakim, in the Fatimid architectural style, the mosque was completed in c. 1016 CE. Al-Lu’lu’a Mosque is situated 1½ km north of Pakistan Cemetery.

Sayyidah Zainab is one of the old traditional districts of Cairo, Egypt. Its name is based on the presence of the Sayyidah Zainab Mosque. It is known for its traditional restaurants, it also has the Qal'at al-Kabsh neighbourhood, which is one of the famous areas in the district, and the Ibn Tulun Mosque. Sayyidah Zainab District is situated 3 km northwest of Pakistan Cemetery.

Garden City is a well-planned and leafy district of central Cairo, immediately south of the very centre of the modern city at Midan Tahrir. In 1905 the agricultural architect Jose Lamba was asked by the owners of the Nile Land and Agricultural Company to design a new city.
